Don’t Forget: Back Small Business Candidates in the May 2024 Runoff

Supporting Small Businesses in Texas: The Importance of Runoff Elections and How to Make a Difference

In the upcoming May 2024 runoff elections, small businesses in Texas are facing significant challenges. Optimism among small business owners is at its lowest level since 2012, making it crucial to have strong advocates in Austin. To support pro-small business candidates and help turn out the powerful small-business voting bloc, it’s time to make a plan and vote today.

NFIB’s Texas PAC has endorsed several incumbent candidates for the House District seats, including Gary VanDeaver, Dade Phelan, Justin Holland, John Kuempel, DeWayne Burns, Frederick Frazier, Lynn Stucky, and Stephanie Klick. Small business owners are influential voters and can rally others to support pro-small business candidates. NFIB is encouraging its Texas members to help mobilize the small-business voting bloc for the runoff.

Small business owners are one of the most important voting groups in Texas. They often vote in high numbers and can influence others to do the same. By supporting these pro-small business candidates before the runoff on May 28th during early voting from May 20th to May 24th with polls open from 7:00 AM CT to 7:00 PM CT or on election day itself you can make a difference in shaping the future of your community and state. Don’t forget that April 29th is the last day to register to vote so be sure to visit VoteTexas.gov for more information on how to register and vote for your favorite candidate.
