Rare Vehicle Crashes at Wytheville Businesses: A Look into the Causes and Prevention

A Tennessee driver accidentally crashed her car into Wytheville’s Waffle House on Wednesday morning, though fortunately no one was hurt in the incident. This marks the third time in recent years that a vehicle has collided with a business in the town. The driver, 61-year-old Robin Noe from Kingsport, Tennessee, explained that her foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator as she was attempting to park in front of the Waffle House, leading to the crash through the glass and into the building.

On Feb. 28, another similar crash occurred at Wytheville’s Dollar Tree store, where two people were injured when a 71-year-old woman mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, driving her Ford Taurus through the front of the business. Despite these occurrences, efforts are being made to ensure public safety and prevent similar accidents in the future.
