In April 2023, Newlab at Michigan Central in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood officially opened its doors. This innovative space is a symbol of the city’s ongoing revitalization and transformation. Originally built from the remains of a crumbling book depository, Newlab is now home to 90 startups operating in various industries, from EV off-road vehicles to smart wheels designed for warehouse logistics.
