NWSL’s new Bay FC hope to ride Globe Cup wave of excitement

SAN FRANCISCO, June three (Reuters) – The founders behind the new National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) expansion group in California’s San Francisco Bay Location think this year’s Women’s Globe Cup will only add to their momentum as they kick off their inaugural season subsequent year.

Bay FC, the NWSL’s 14th club, will start off play in 2024 and its founders function former U.S. national group members Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, Danielle Slaton and Aly Wagner

“Hopefully we’re going to see a lot more of a presence and excitement about the Women’s Globe Cup in our neighborhood, and that is what it is all about,” Osborne stated on Saturday at the team’s launch occasion in San Francisco.

“We cannot wait to host viewing shows and watching the games collectively inside the neighborhood. Some of us are going to be calling the Globe Cup, so to see Bay FC involved in the Globe Cup and vice versa, it is only going to assistance make the momentum.”
