Jerez Sprint Race Results in Dramatic Shake-Up of 2024 MotoGP World Championship Standings

The Jerez Sprint Race saw five riders receive 8-second post-race penalties for low tire pressure. These penalties have had a significant impact on the updated 2024 MotoGP World Championship standings.

Jorge Martin continues to lead the championship with 92 points, followed closely by Pedro Acosta in second with 63 points. Enea Bastianini has dropped to third with 59 points, while Maverick Viñales and Francesco Bagnaia round out the top five with 56 and 50 points respectively.

Brad Binder, Marc Marquez, Aleix Espargaro, Fabio di Giannantonio, and Fabio Quartararo complete the top ten in the standings. Jack Miller, Marco Bezzecchi, Miguel Oliveira, Alex Marquez, and Augusto Fernandez are also among the top 15 riders in the championship.

Daniel Pedrosa, Raul Fernandez, Franco Morbidelli, Johann Zarco, Alex Rins, and Takaaki Nakagami are further down in the standings.
