For the fourth night in a row, protests against Israel were held in the Jordanian capital, near the Israeli Embassy. The demonstrators attempted to approach the embassy but were met with resistance from police and gendarmerie, resulting in several arrests. While the number of participants has decreased compared to earlier days, most of them were teenagers and students.
The protesters are demanding concrete action from the Jordanian government to stop what they perceive as Israeli aggression against Palestinians. They are calling for the cancellation of all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement) and the gas agreement. Additionally, they are pushing for a halt on goods transport from Persian Gulf countries through Jordan and a ban on vegetable exports.
These protests showcase continued frustration and anger towards Israel, with young people taking a stand against what they see as unjust actions. The demonstrators’ demands highlight their desire for stronger support from the Jordanian government in defense of the Palestinian cause and opposition to Israeli policies.
