In softball, several teams are vying for a spot in the postseason. In Section 1-3A, Upper St. Clair has secured a berth but could face stiff competition from Bethel Park and Canon-McMillan if they lose. In Section 2-2A, Derry has an opportunity to make it a four-way tie for second place and clinch a playoff spot with a win on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in boys volleyball, several teams are eyeing section titles with wins on Thursday. North Allegheny and Shaler are tied for first in Section 2-3A, while Penn-Trafford can secure an outright section win with a victory.
