As a neurodivergent individual, he appreciates the sense of freedom and purpose he has found at Enabled Intelligence in Falls Church, Virginia. Unlike his previous job at a grocery store deli, where he often felt misunderstood due to his condition, people at Enabled Intelligence treat him like an everyday person.
Enabled Intelligence is an AI technology company that provides data solutions for the U.S. defense and intelligence community. They have recently announced plans to recruit 100 AI data annotators who are neurodiverse, including individuals on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. The CEO of the company, Peter Kant, highlighted that the work requires skills such as detail orientation, hyper-focus, pattern recognition, puzzle-solving, and analytical skills – all of which many neurodiverse individuals excel in.
Melwood is a nonprofit organization that provides jobs and opportunities for people with disabilities. They have partnered with Enabled Intelligence to prepare workers through a 14-week boot camp program.
