Gardeners and Martian Rovers Unite in Spring: A Journalist’s Reflection on Exploration and Discovery
Gale Crater on Mars is experiencing a full-blown spring season while Toronto is still in the midst of its transitional weather. As the temperatures rise and days get longer, I am inspired to work in my garden and soak up the warmth. Meanwhile, Curiosity rover is also enjoying this seasonal shift and has been receiving plenty of power to carry out its activities in its own version of a Martian garden.
Despite our different environments, both Curiosity and I share a common excitement for exploring and investigating during this time of year. As I tend to my green space on Earth, Curiosity continues to uncover the secrets of Mars with each touch-and-go plan. Through our shared passion for discovery and exploration, we are both making the most of this wonderful spring season.
