Child Migrants in Family Immigration Detention: A Virtual Conversation on Legal Challenges and Future Implications

The FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University is hosting a virtual conversation on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm EDT. This event will be held on Zoom and registration is required. During the discussion, speakers will provide insights into the impact of a recent report titled “Child Migrants in Family Immigration Detention in the US: An Examination of Current Pediatric Care Standards and Practices,” which was published in January 2024.

The report examined current pediatric care standards and practices in family immigration detention centers in the United States. Speakers at this event will address legal challenges faced by child migrants in the current climate, emphasize the importance of increased transparency in the border security process, and discuss policy implications for the future. The session will also include a Q&A session for attendees to ask questions.
