Celebrating Excellence: 2024 Beijing Awards Recognize Young Women in Science Field
On April 28, 2024, an award ceremony was held in Beijing to recognize the achievements of young women in the scientific field. During the event, 20 individuals and five teams received awards dedicated to their contributions towards science. Shen Yiqin, Chinese State Councilor and president of the All-China Women’s Federation, graced the occasion with her presence.
Shen Yiqin commended the young female scientists for their dedication to science and encouraged them to continue pushing boundaries in their research. She emphasized the importance of these talented individuals in China’s efforts to achieve self-reliance and strength in science and technology, develop new productive forces, and promote high-quality development.
The award was established in 2004 and has so far honored 204 outstanding women in the science sector. It serves as a platform to recognize and support the contributions of young female scientists towards scientific advancements in China. The event highlighted the crucial role that women play in shaping the future of science and technology in the country.
