Some common hormonal disorders include menopause, diabetes, Addison’s disease, Cushing’s syndrome, Graves’ disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, prolactinoma, and endocrine cancer.

According to Dr. Truong Thi Vanh Khuyen from the Department of Endocrinology – Diabetes at Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, yoga can help reduce stress, depression, and anxiety by stimulating the body to release hormones that improve these conditions and increase energy levels while promoting feelings of happiness. Yoga can also trigger the release of endorphins which act as natural pain relievers in the body and help manage emotions and cope with difficult situations.

One of the key hormones released during yoga practice is endorphins which interact with receptors in the brain to create a feeling of excitement and reduce stress while helping the body manage emotions effectively. Another hormone affected by yoga is cortisol often referred to as the stress hormone which is necessary for the body but excessive levels can lead to mood changes weight gain insomnia. Yoga can help lower cortisol levels reduce stress calm mind serotonin a neurotransmitter responsible for regulating mood feelings depression is also released during yoga practice helping increase energy levels improve cognitive function.

While yoga can have positive effects on hormone balance stress levels it’s important to note that it should be used as a complementary approach not a replacement for medical treatment in cases of endocrine disorders individuals with hormonal imbalances should seek guidance from an Endocrinologist for proper diagnosis treatment.
