Aaron Finch selects Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya for India’s T20 World Cup squad, Shubman Gill omitted

Aaron Finch Reveals His Lineup for Team India’s T20 World Cup Squad: What You Need to Know

The upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024, set to tour the USA and the West Indies, has sparked discussions about the potential composition of Team India’s 15-member squad. With the tournament quickly approaching, former India cricketers have been offering their suggestions for the squad. One such expert is former Australian T20 World Cup-winning captain Aaron Finch, who recently unveiled his lineup for the tournament in June.

Finch named Yashasvi Jaiswal as the second player in his squad after captain Rohit Sharma. However, he did not reveal his playing XI. In Finch’s squad, Virat Kohli, who currently holds the Orange Cap in IPL 2024, found a place alongside Suryakumar Yadav in the top order. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson were picked as wicketkeepers, with KL Rahul being excluded from the touring party. Hardik Pandya was also included in Finch’s squad despite facing criticism for his poor performances in the IPL. Both Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh were selected by Finch despite reports suggesting only one could be picked by the BCCI.

Finch opted for a pace-heavy bowling attack for Team India at the T20 World Cup, selecting Avesh Khan as the fourth seamer alongside Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj. Ravindra Jadeja and left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav were also included in Finch’s squad. India’s T20 World Cup squad is expected to be announced on Monday.
