Zrinjski Appoints New Mayor without Consulting Tomas
Zrinjski, a Bosnian football club, has appointed Mario Ivanković as their new head coach after parting ways with Krunoslav Rendulić. This decision was made following the team’s recent 3-0 loss to Velež in the Mostar derby, despite Rendulić leading the team to a double crown and securing a historic placement in the group stage of the Conference League last year.
Ivanković, who is 48 years old, brings extensive experience in working with first teams to his new role at Zrinjski. He spent nearly six years with the same team before joining Zrinjski and also has experience working with the U17 and U19 national teams of BiH. Currently, he is part of the professional staff of the A national team of BiH.
Zrinjski has stated that Ivanković will be supported by coaches from the previous coaching staff until further notice as he takes on this new role. The duration of Ivanković’s tenure as Zrinjski’s head coach has not yet been disclosed.
