Vinecki takes first place in aerials World Cup in Lac-Beauport, regains top spot in World Cup standings

Winter Vinecki Wins Third Individual Aerials Event of the Season, Earning Yellow Leader’s Bib for U.S. Team

On a day with rain and clouds, Winter Vinecki earned her third individual win of the season in the aerials event in Lac-Beauport, Canada. The U.S. team had a strong showing, with five women and two men advancing to the finals.

Despite missing out on the previous day’s finals, Vinecki qualified in the second position on Sunday and almost lost her balance in the final round. However, her score was enough to put her in sixth place and advance into the super finals. Chris Lillis also fell hard in the finals but managed to avoid injury.

In the final round, Vinecki came out on top by performing a back lay-full-full as the only woman attempting a triple. This led her to her third individual win and fourth overall win of the season, earning her the yellow leader’s bib.

The team is now heading to Almaty, Kazakhstan for their final World Cup of the season on March 10 after a rest and training period.
