Wichita Falls Animal Services is partnering with the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District to promote health and wellness within the community during National Public Health Week, which runs from April 1st to 7th. The theme of this year’s fair is “Super Heroes, Super Health” and will take place at the main campus of the Health District located at 1700 Third Street in Wichita Falls, Texas.

City Public Information Officer Chris Horgen stated that there will be over 40 community partners present at the event to support the WFWCPHD motto: “A healthy community is a strong community.” The fair will feature more than 30 kid-friendly booths, with additional activities and partners still being added as the event approaches. Participants can look forward to playing games, participating in activities, having their blood pressure checked, taking part in a scavenger hunt, giving blood, trying a car accident simulator, winning door prizes, and more.

Attendees can also take advantage of free pet adoptions and microchipping offered by Wichita Falls Animal Services throughout National Public Health Week. This collaborative effort aims to promote overall health and wellness within the community. Copyright 2024 KAUZ. All rights reserved.
