Utah Governor indicators various bills addressing ongoing mental wellness crisis – State of Reform

Gov. Spencer Cox signed a series of measures this week aimed at addressing the state’s ongoing mental wellness crisis.

Utah maintains the highest levels of mental illness in the nation, with far more than 30% of adult Utahns experiencing anxiousness or depression. A survey on maternal wellness showed far more than half of new mothers in Utah reported depression just before, in the course of, or right after pregnancy in 2021.
