Moberly’s girls soccer team faced off against Fulton in a highly anticipated game that could have extended their winning streak. From the get-go, Moberly displayed impressive offensive and defensive plays, leading to a resounding 5-0 victory.
In the first half, Zoey Richardson scored the initial goal off an assist from Karlie McGee, putting Moberly in a commanding 1-0 lead. Fulton struggled to keep up with Moberly’s dominant play and found themselves trailing 2-0 when Zaylee Heaton added another goal before the break.
The second half began with Adalynn Hollyway scoring a quick goal, increasing the Spartans’ lead to 3-0. However, Fulton continued to fight back and attempted to contain Moberly’s relentless attack. Despite their best efforts, they couldn’t prevent Jacey Engel from capitalizing on a corner kick opportunity and scoring the final goal of the match, leaving Moberly victorious at 4-0.
With this impressive win, Moberly’s girls soccer team improved their season record to 19-3 and are now preparing for their upcoming match against Marshall on Monday.
