Union-Endicott High School’s Technology Department Earns Recognition with State Award

Union-Endicott High School’s Technology Department has recently been honored with the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award. The department, which offers a range of programs including welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry, was nominated for the award by the Southern Tier Technology & Engineering Educators Association.

Corey Munn, an Engineering Teacher at the school, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “It is a great honor to receive this award and be recognized by our peers for the hard work we have put into the program,” he said. The Program of Excellence Award is one of the highest honors given by the New York State Technology & Engineering Educators Association.

The technology department at Union-Endicott High School has experienced significant growth over the past few years, with enrollment doubling during that time. This recognition is a testament to their commitment to providing students with high-quality education in technology and engineering. As a result of this achievement, Union-Endicott High School will now be considered for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award, representing New York State in the process.
