The Tulsa World has announced that it will be recognizing the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area with the All-World Awards for winter sports. Finalists for boys and girls swimming, wrestling, basketball, and volleyball will be revealed throughout the week. The winners of the All-State boys and girls basketball teams will be announced on Sunday.
In addition to winter sports, athlete of the year finalists were also announced in fall sports such as football, cross country, volleyball, and softball. The 2023-24 All-World honors will include all of these sports as well as girls’ cross country and boys’ cross country.
The spring sports finalists will be announced in early June along with winners for specialty awards such as best comeback, inspirational and scholar athletes, and a lifetime achievement award winner. The winners of athletes of the year in each sport will be revealed at the eighth annual All-World Awards banquet presented by Bill Knight Automotive on Thursday, June 20 at Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall. Tickets for the banquet can be purchased for $75 on allworldawards.com with limited seating available. For more information or to see the finalists announced so far, click here.
