Tiger recruits experienced caddie for Genesis Invitational comeback

Tiger Woods Takes New Approach with Caddie Lance Bennett at Genesis Invitational

According to Golfweek, Tiger Woods will debut a new looper at this week’s Genesis Invitational. The report also revealed that veteran caddie Lance Bennett will be on the bag at Riviera. Bennett has previously caddied for several top golfers, including Matt Kuchar, Sungjae Im and Davis Riley. Currently, he works for rookie Adrien Dumont de Chassart, who is not in the field and is represented by the same agency as Woods, Excel Sports.

Woods recently parted ways with his longtime caddie Joe LaCava, who took on more of a full-time role with Patrick Cantlay last year. Woods’ business partner, Rob McNamara, caddied for him at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship. However, Golfweek noted that Bennett isn’t necessarily a permanent solution for Woods’ bag. It remains to be seen how long he will continue to work with Bennett or if he will eventually find another caddie that better suits his needs.
