Three Road Workers Suffered Injuries in Vehicle Crash on A1 near Karlovac

On Sunday morning at 9:35 a.m., a traffic accident occurred on the A1 highway near Drežnik, Karlovac, according to the Karlovac Police Department. The police report that a 55-year-old man driving a passenger car with Ogulin license plates collided with the rear of a police vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man from Zagreb. The impact was caused by the inappropriate speed of the vehicle in a slight bend, which threw both vehicles into a metal guardrail on the central belt and bounced them back onto the roadway.

The collision resulted in serious injuries for the 55-year-old driver, while the 56-year-old driver and his 53-year-old passenger were slightly injured. For causing the traffic accident, the 56-year-old driver will be issued a mandatory misdemeanor order, and a report will be forwarded to the competent state attorney.
