There Will Be No Economy On A Dead Planet

When once again our elected leaders have been fooled by the false decision involving a wholesome economy and a wholesome planet. We will have neither if our government continues to sanction the limitless production and export of oil and gas.

WASHINGTON DC (June two, 2023)–In response to the Fiscal Duty Act becoming signed into law, Alice Madden, Policy and Political Director at Greenpeace USA, stated: “There will be no economy on a dead planet. Speaker McCarthy held our nation hostage in order to sell out communities to the oil and gas executives. The rollbacks on environmental protections and public input contained in this bill are flat out handouts to polluters who are currently contaminating our air and water even though driving us toward climate catastrophe. When once again our elected leaders have been fooled by the false decision involving a wholesome economy and a wholesome planet. We will have neither if our government continues to sanction the limitless production and export of oil and gas.”
