Texas’ Business Climate Ranked Best by Corporate Executives According to the Office of the Texas Governor
Governor Greg Abbott of Texas announced that Texas has been named the nation’s best business climate in a survey conducted by Development Counsellors International (DCI). The announcement was made at the International Economic Development Council Annual Conference in Dallas. Governor Abbott credited the hardworking Texans and the endless possibilities for success throughout the state for achieving this ranking. He emphasized that corporate executives and business leaders are choosing Texas because of the freedom and opportunity it offers, which cannot be found elsewhere. The state’s attractive pro-growth policies, lack of state income tax, reasonable regulatory environment, and a young, skilled, and growing workforce are contributing to its status as a hub of innovation and economic prosperity. Texas has consistently been a top-ranking state in the Winning Strategies in Economic Development Marketing survey since its establishment in 1996.
Texas has achieved numerous accolades in recent months. In March, the state received the Governor’s Cup for the 11th consecutive year, recognizing its success in attracting the most business relocation and expansion projects in the nation. Furthermore, Governor Abbott celebrated Texas being named the Best State for Business in April for the 19th straight year, as voted by the country’s leading CEOs. These achievements further cement Texas’ reputation as a highly favorable destination for businesses.
