Minesto, a leading ocean energy developer, is participating in the official Swedish business delegation to the United Nation’s global climate conference, COP28, taking place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023. This is the second time Minesto has been part of this delegation. The journey to COP28 begins at Climate Week New York, where Minesto and other industry leaders, academic institutions, and public sector representatives are gathering in conjunction with the opening of the UN’s General Assembly.

As part of the Road to COP28 U.S event in New York on September 19, initiated by Business Sweden, the Consulate General of Sweden, New York, and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, Minesto’s CEO Dr Martin Edlund will participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Enabling a zero-emission energy and fossil free transportation system’. This high-level meeting will be live-streamed, allowing for a broader audience to engage with the discussions.

During Climate Week New York, Minesto’s technology will also be showcased in an exhibition at the Ingka Group Action Speaks Summit. This summit, held from September 18 to 24, aims to highlight scalable solutions to address climate change, and Minesto has been selected as one of the companies to feature in the exhibition. Visitors and participants will have the opportunity to learn more about Minesto’s innovative approach to generating clean energy from ocean currents.
