A stabbing incident occurred at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to three staff members. According to officials from New York State’s Office of Mental Health, the incident took place inside the Strozzi Building.

The Office of Mental Health is actively working with the Buffalo Police Department to investigate the matter. Their top priority is ensuring the safety of both their staff and the individuals they serve. The organization expressed their thoughts and sympathy for the injured employees and their families during this difficult time.

Local news outlet WIVB-TV reported that two men and a woman were transported to the hospital by ambulance after the stabbing took place shortly after 9 a.m. One of the staff members is believed to be seriously injured, while the suspect was taken into police custody. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
