Small Business of the Week: Ernst Recognizes Exceptional Achievements
Buchanan County, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, recently recognized Geater Machining and Manufacturing as her Small Business of the Week. This is part of a congressional initiative to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“Geater Machining and Manufacturing is an exceptional example of what hard work and dedication can achieve,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “Over three generations, the Geater family has built this company into a global leader in precision machines and fabricated parts for the aerospace, electronics, and high-tech industries.”
Founded in 1962 by Duane Geater, Geater Machining and Manufacturing has been committed to providing top-quality products while giving back to the local community. The company offers student outreach opportunities such as an apprenticeship program, job shadowing, academic speakers and more. Their products have made an impact around the world; most notably in helicopter radios used by the Navy SEAL team that killed Osama bin Laden.
Stay tuned for more recognition from Ranking Member Ernst as she continues to highlight Iowa’s diverse small businesses throughout Congress.
