
September 18 CAA Field Hockey Weekly Awards
The CAA has announced its field hockey weekly award winners for the fourth week of the 2023 season. William & Mary junior midfielder Pyper Friedman was named CAA Player of the Week, although Monmouth freshman goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin received the title of CAA Rookie of the Week.
Pyper Friedman, from William & Mary, earned the Player of the Week accolades. In a match against Towson, Friedman scored two ambitions, one particular in the eighth minute and a further in the 42nd minute, top her group to a three-two victory. Her second aim proved to be the game-winner, marking her second game-winning aim of the season. Friedman also played the complete 60 minutes in the midfield position against No. ten Liberty, assisting her group hold the Flames scoreless for 58 minutes. Jessie Eiselin, a freshman goalkeeper from Monmouth, was named Rookie of the Week.
