Revamped Texas A&M Athletics: A New Era of Success

In the 2023 season, Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame inductee John Isner achieved the No. 1 spot on the ATP Doubles Rankings. His partner, Ivan Dodig, was ranked No. 2 in the world. Together, they secured five tournament wins in 2023, including a Grand Slam Title at the French Open at Roland Garros. They clinched the championship a year after losing in the Paris title match in 2022.

In the 2023 season, Isner posted a 47-19 record in doubles and held the No. 1 ranking for 13 weeks, including 10 consecutive weeks at the end of the season. Hailing from Tampa, Florida, Isner amassed 7,130 doubles points, which is an increase of 510 points over his partner Dodig and an impressive increase of 740 points over Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden who tied for third place with him. This point disparity is the largest since the final rankings of 2019.
