President Biden and Jordan’s King Announce Ceasefire Negotiations for Gaza Strip, While Netanyahu Prepares for Ground Attack on Rafah

At a joint press conference with the King of Jordan, Abdullahin, at the White House, US President Joe Biden announced his efforts to negotiate a ceasefire lasting at least six weeks in the Gaza Strip. During this time, hostages will be released. The president emphasized the importance of protecting civilians, particularly those in the town of Rafah, which is located near the Egyptian border and has up to one million Palestinians in the region. Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered his country’s armed forces to prepare for a ground attack on Rafah.
