Plymouth Police Arrest Man for Battery and Public Intoxication Following Altercation at Economy Inn

On April 2nd, 2024, at around 12:50 a.m., Plymouth Police Officers were called to Economy Inn, located at 2535 N. Michigan Street, in response to a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered two males involved in a physical altercation.

The intoxicated males had initially engaged in a verbal dispute before one of them, Bill Ortiz, 44 of Plymouth, punched the other male in the face, causing injury. Ortiz was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail for charges of Battery resulting in Bodily Injury and Public Intoxication. A court date and bond were assigned to Ortiz.
