No injuries just after dumptuck crashes into Maple Valley business enterprise

Early morning on St. Patrick’s Day, Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority had been on the scene just after a dumptruck crashed into the side of a Maple Valley developing.
At eight:30 a.m. March 17, a medium-sized dumptruck was parked but nevertheless operating at the 4 Corners Square off of Maple Valley Black Diamond Road Southeast in Maple Valley with two passengers inside.
According to Puget Sound Fire, the car “somehow began moving forward” and 1 of the individuals in the cab of the dumptruck meant to place their foot on the brake to quit the car — but alternatively stepped on the accelerator. The car then drove more than a landscaped region of the parking lot and crashed into the Maple Valley Eye Care Center.
The Eye Care Center had not opened but, but 4 workers had been inside when the crash took location. Puget Sound Fire reports that there had been no injuries.
“There was considerable harm to the exterior wall due to the fact [the dumptruck] went all the way by means of,” stated Pat Pollock of Puget Sound Fire. “It took out the assistance columns and portion of the beam. There was also considerable harm to the business enterprise.”
Puget Sound Fire’s Heavy Rescue group was capable to add emergency shoring to safely get rid of the dumptruck from the developing. Extra shoring was added after the dumptruck was removed.
