Tre’Davious White signs one-year deal with Los Angeles Rams

NFL Bans Hip-Drop Tackle: Controversial Rule Change at Annual Meeting; Rams Sign Top Free Agent Defender Tre’Davious White to Boost Defense

The NFL has recently implemented a new rule banning the hip-drop tackle, which has caused frustration among players. Safid Deen from USA Today provides insight into this controversial rule change at the league’s annual meeting.

In other NFL news, the Los Angeles Rams are strengthening their defense following the retirement of Aaron Donald. Veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White has signed a one-year deal with the Rams worth up to $10 million. White, who was recently released by the Buffalo Bills, is considered one of the top free agents available this offseason.

White, a two-time Pro Bowler, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Rams’ defense. However, concerns about his durability arise as he has dealt with injuries in recent seasons. Despite this, the Rams are hopeful that White will make a significant impact on their secondary, joining players like Kamren Curl and Darious Williams as they aim to improve their defensive capabilities.

With 311 tackles, 68 passes defended, and 18 interceptions in his 82-game career, White’s addition to the Rams’ defense is seen as a low-risk, high-reward move. While questions about his durability remain, the Rams are confident in their decision to bring in the veteran cornerback to bolster their defensive lineup.
