Newest CW Sports SVP Jason Wormser: From FIFA World Cup to LIV Golf

The CW has recently appointed Jason Wormser as the Senior Vice President of CW Sports. In his new role, Wormser will oversee all production aspects of The CW’s sports portfolio, including live events such as LIV Golf, ACC college football, men’s and women’s basketball, and the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

As a consultant since the launch of CW Sports one year ago, Wormser has been an invaluable asset to the network. He is passionate about his work and has experience managing behind-the-scenes crews responsible for broadcasting major events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2018 while serving as Vice President of Production, Soccer for Fox Soccer Channel, Fox and FS1.

Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW Network expressed excitement about bringing Wormser on full time citing his dedication to ensuring a compelling broadcast. “Jason has been an integral part of our team since we launched CW Sports,” said Schwartz. “His passion for sports and ability to manage complex productions make him an excellent fit for this role.”

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, Wormser stated: “In just one year—signing deals first with LIV Golf then adding ACC football and basketball Inside the NFL and NASCAR Xfinity Series—we have set a solid foundation as we help grow The CW’s public awareness and provide value to our affiliates nationwide.”
