New QB Tim Boyle Leads the Charge in Third Quarter against Buffalo
The Jets have made a change at quarterback, with Zach Wilson being pulled in favor of Tim Boyle. This happened in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Bills when the Jets were trailing 29-6. Wilson had been struggling, going 7-of-15 for 81 yards, a touchdown, and an interception while also being sacked five times.
Tim Boyle has never played for the Jets before but has appeared in 17 games for the Packers, Lions, and Bears. He started three times for the Lions in 2021. Jets head coach Robert Saleh has supported Wilson since Aaron Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles in the first week of the season, but the results have been underwhelming and a lasting change may be on the horizon as the team holds out hope that they can stay in playoff contention long enough for Rodgers to return to action.
