New Grandfather: Croatian Prefect Željko Kolar Celebrates First Grandchild

Željko Kolar, the Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County and a member of the SDP, recently became a grandfather for the first time. His son Maks welcomed a daughter, making Kolar and his wife, Mira Hrbud Kolar, proud grandparents. Congratulations poured in from all directions to celebrate the family’s new addition.

Kolar and his wife have two successful children, Maks who is a lawyer and Maja who is a doctor. Meanwhile, Kolar has had a distinguished career in politics. He has been the mayor of Klanjec since 2009 and was elected to the Croatian Parliament in 2011. In addition to his role as Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County, he has also served as vice president of the Parliamentary Committee for Environment and Nature Protection.

During his spare time, Kolar enjoys playing football, going for walks and hikes according to the official website of the Krapina-Zagorje County. His dedication to public service and love for family are just some of the many qualities that have endeared him to those around him.
