New Executive Director Appointed at St. Paul Life Science Incubator in the Twin Cities

New Executive Director for University Enterprise Labs: Driving Growth in Minnesota’s Biotech Sector

Brad Larmie has been appointed as the executive director of University Enterprise Labs (UEL), a life science incubator nonprofit located in St. Paul. The announcement was made on April 2, 2024. UEL offers laboratory spaces and scientific equipment for rent to companies in the biotech, medtech, tough tech, and agricultural tech fields.

In his new role, Larmie will be responsible for overseeing operations, investment strategy, programs, and partnerships for the 150,000-square-foot facility. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Children’s Minnesota, ChRi Laboratories, and Novartis. With a degree in biological sciences, Larmie is excited to take UEL to the next level and contribute to Minnesota’s thriving life sciences ecosystem.

Barbara Nelsen, Chair of the UEL Board, expressed her excitement about Brad Larmie leading UEL into its next phase. She highlighted the organization’s ambitious goals to foster Minnesota’s next generation of life sciences companies and support economic growth in the Twin Cities. UEL, located at 1000 Westgate Drive in St. Paul, has over 35 wet labs for scientific research and development.
