While Bill Belichick has coached at the highest level of football for decades, Steve is eager to carve out his own path in college coaching. Despite looking up to his father as a mentor, he emphasizes that he is his own person and will not be trying to emulate his father’s coaching style. Bill Belichick recently left the New England Patriots after interviewing for a head coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons during the offseason. However, it remains unclear whether he will return to coaching in the NFL anytime soon. Until then, Steve’s joke about his father’s job status remains relevant and timely.
