Andrea McLaughlin has been appointed as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital after a comprehensive national search. With over 20 years of experience in nursing, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
McLaughlin has progressed from bedside care to nursing leadership throughout her career. Her clinical background includes working in correctional facilities, emergency medicine, medicine-surgery progressive care, and ambulatory care settings. In addition to her clinical work, she has also been involved in teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals as a faculty member at Brightpoint Community College and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing.
As part of the leadership team at Tappahannock Hospital, McLaughlin is dedicated to representing the nursing workforce and ensuring high-quality care for patients and the surrounding community.
