New Business Imprint Simon Acumen Launches with Expert-Led Publications on Workplace Success

Simon Element, a leading publisher in the book industry, has announced the launch of its new business imprint called Simon Acumen. The imprint will be led by Richard Rhorer and Stephanie Hitchcock, with Kimberly Meilun joining as an editor from Hachette Book Group’s PublicAffairs imprint.

The goal of Simon Acumen is to publish 15-20 books annually, with a focus on helping readers navigate the ever-changing world of work. The imprint will feature works by thought leaders, innovators, academics, journalists, and others who blend theory and practice to offer fresh insights and practical advice for readers pursuing their professional goals.

Simon & Schuster’s president and CEO, Jonathan Karp, expressed enthusiasm for the imprint and stated the company’s commitment to being a leader in the business book category. “We are thrilled to introduce Simon Acumen as our newest business imprint,” said Karp. “With its focus on practical advice and fresh perspectives from top experts in their fields, we believe this imprint will provide readers with valuable insights into navigating today’s rapidly changing business landscape.”

Richard Rhorer emphasized that this is an opportune time to launch a business-focused imprint, given the rapid technological advancements and cultural shifts influencing the way we work. Readers are seeking guidance to achieve success and purpose in their professional lives, making the launch of Simon Acumen timely and relevant. “We want to provide readers with the tools they need to succeed in today’s fast-paced world,” said Rhorer. “With our expert authors and experienced editors, we believe we can deliver books that will inspire readers to reach their full potential.”

The debut title for Simon Acumen is Cryptomania by Andrew Chow, a tech reporter for Time Magazine set for release on August 6th. Other upcoming titles include works by Wharton professor Matthew Bidwell
