Celik: Galatasaray rekindles interest in Roma right back

New Beginnings at Roma: Galatasaray and Zeki Celik’s Summer Transfer Saga

Galatasaray is said to be interested in signing Roma right back Zeki Celik this summer. The 27-year-old has had limited playing time under both Jose Mourinho and Daniele De Rossi, only clocking 663 minutes in 17 Serie A matches this season. With Daniele De Rossi looking to revamp the Roma squad and start a new project, it is expected that a number of players, including Celik, will be leaving the club.

Galatasaray tried to negotiate a deal for Celik in January but were unable to reach an agreement with Roma. The Turkish club is now looking to reignite their interest in the right back and are hoping to secure his services in the coming weeks. According to reports, Roma is looking for around €7 million for Celik, with 15% of the transfer fee going to Lille due to a future resale clause.
