Morningside University Expands Animal Science Minor to Prepare Students for Successful Careers in Animal Health and Welfare

Starting in fall 2024, Morningside University’s School of Agriculture and Aviation will be offering a new animal science minor for students interested in pursuing careers related to animal health and welfare. This addition to the academic catalog provides students with a broader range of career opportunities and aligns with the university’s commitment to meeting the needs of the Siouxland region through innovative academic programs.

Dr. Chris Spicer, the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Morningside University, expressed excitement about the new minor, emphasizing the university’s dedication to offering interdisciplinary study options that prepare students for successful careers. Dr. Tom Paulsen, the dean of the School of Agriculture and Aviation, highlighted the hands-on learning experiences and industry partnerships that the animal science minor will provide.
