Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, has become quite the sensation in the world of baking. Her famous chocolate chip cookies have caught the attention of a small business in the Kansas City area, which created a mug that reads “It’s Mama Kelce’s world and we’re just living in it”. The mug even features Donna’s recipe and directions for her delicious cookies.
When Annie Stowe, the owner of Annie’s Barn, reached out to Donna about purchasing 20 of these mugs for Christmas gifts, she was pleasantly surprised by Donna’s response. Not only did she buy 20 mugs for her loved ones, but she also agreed to donate $5 per mug sold to help pay off elementary school lunch debt. Enough mugs were sold to raise about $2,000 towards this cause.
Stowe was thrilled with this opportunity to give back to the community while honoring Donna Kelce’s famous recipe. She said that when the Chiefs do well, she does well too, and this was her little way to give back. However, so far Stowe has not heard back from Donna regarding whether or not she wants to deliver the checks personally to the school with her.
Despite being busy watching her son Travis play against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVII in Las Vegas, Donna has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on those who have tried her famous chocolate chip cookies.
