John Anzak’s Comprehensive Reporting on News, Sports, and Jobs

John E. Anzak, a devoted member of the Hannibal, Ohio community, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, November 19th, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on July 31st, 1957 to the late Shirley (Cochran) and John Anzak. Throughout his life, John dedicated himself to serving his community and loved ones with unwavering dedication.

John’s career as an employee of the US Postal Service spanned over 32 years. During that time, he served as Post Master for 24 years before retiring on his birthday in 2009. His passion for helping others and his commitment to excellence made him a beloved figure among his colleagues and customers alike. In addition to his work at the post office, John enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and watching sports with friends and family.

John is survived by his brother James Anzak of St.Clairsville, OH; niece Megan Anzak of Taylors, SC.; step-niece Kelly Reasbeck of Marins Ferry; and three first cousins who will remember him fondly as a caring friend who always put others first.

On Wednesday November 22nd at 11am at Apostolic Pentecostal Church located at 73339 Pleasant Grove Rd, St Clairsville OH43950 there will be a gathering to celebrate John’s life with services led by Pastor Dan Nelson.
