Jaylen Waddle placed in concussion protocol following impactful hit on Sunday
Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has entered the concussion protocol at the beginning of this week. This announcement was made by head coach Mike McDaniel during his Monday press conference. Waddle sustained a concussion during Sunday night’s game against the Patriots when he was hit by linebacker Marte Mapu while attempting to catch a pass from Tua Tagovailoa. The hit resulted in a penalty for Mapu and Waddle was unable to return to the game. Prior to his departure, Waddle had recorded four catches for 86 yards, making him the team’s top receiver for the night. In the first two weeks of the regular season, he has accumulated a total of eight catches for 164 yards.
