Israel Releases Graphic Videos of Hostages Held in Gaza Hospital Tunnels
The Israeli Army recently published images that it claims came from surveillance cameras at the Shifa hospital in Gaza. These images supposedly show several hostages being taken to the hospital complex after being kidnapped on October 7. According to a military spokesman, Daniel Hagari, the hostages were men from Nepal and Thailand, and their current location is unknown.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that there are strong indications of hostages captured by Hamas being held at the Al Shifa hospital. Israeli authorities believe that Hamas militants killed approximately 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took around 240 hostages, including about twenty Argentines. In response, Israel carried out a bombing attack and ground raid on the Gaza Strip, resulting in thousands of casualties, many of whom were civilians.
The Gaza authorities deny using the hospital for military purposes and insist that the hospital complex was not utilized by Hamas at any time. The images from the surveillance cameras are time-stamped October 7, 2023, the day of the Hamas attack on southern Israel. The situation in the area remains tense, with conflicting accounts of the events that took place on that day.
