Hands-on Education: NICCL Exhibition Celebrates the Intersection of Art and Science

Interactive Exploration of Science and Creativity with Jason Chin’s ‘The Universe in You’ Exhibit at NCCIL

Last week, the NCCIL hosted artist Jason Chin, who welcomed children into a world of science and wonder. On Thursday, Chin’s exhibit “The Universe in You” opened to the public, featuring examples from his books that introduce the sciences to young readers.

During a workshop, kids had the opportunity to draw with Chin and also explore science stations set up in the main gallery. These hands-on demonstrations allowed children to learn about geology, astronomy, physics, and other disciplines.

The exhibit will continue to be on display through May 10, providing a playful yet educational experience for young minds.
