Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

High School Sports: Clinton and Tecumseh Get Off to a Winning Start in Girls Soccer and Lacrosse Games

The spring season for high school sports in Lenawee County is well underway, with girls soccer and lacrosse teams taking to the field this week.

In a closely contested match, Clinton emerged victorious over Tecumseh in the girls soccer opener, with a final score of 8-2. Aubrey Lauer was instrumental in Clinton’s win, scoring an impressive six goals. Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists, while Kaylee Raiser contributed two assists. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton. Tecumseh’s Shaylinn Drouillard scored both of her team’s goals in the match.

Meanwhile, in a game of lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview. The visiting team from Ohio proved to be a tough opponent for Tecumseh. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh. Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
