NBC Sports reports Chargers have signed Ben Mason

Former Michigan Player Finds New Opportunity with Chargers as Fullback

Ben Mason, a former Michigan player, has been signed by the Chargers as their fullback. During his time at Michigan, Mason demonstrated his versatility by playing multiple positions such as tight end, defensive lineman, and fullback over the course of four years. He made significant contributions to the team by rushing 37 times for 87 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. Additionally, he caught a touchdown pass and made 14 tackles during his college career.

Despite being drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2021 draft, Mason was unable to secure a spot on the roster. He later had brief stints with the Patriots and Bears before returning to Baltimore and appearing in one game last season. Now, with a fresh start with the Chargers, Mason will have the opportunity to continue his NFL journey under the guidance of his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh.
