Bango honors champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Fifth Graders Win Big in Racine’s Fresh Air Science Fair: A Celebration of Science, Creativity and Commitment

Recently, the fifth-grade students of Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their outstanding participation in a two-month Fresh Air Science Fair. This exciting event began on February 1st when the students formed teams and submitted projects that brought science concepts related to clean air pollution to life. The projects were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and creativity of presentation.

The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 27th and was attended by special guests such as Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. During the assembly, the winners were announced, and prizes were awarded. The first-place team members received an amazing opportunity to attend the April 10th Bucks game against the Orlando Magic along with transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams received exciting Bucks merchandise as their prizes.

The Fresh Air Science Fair was made possible through a partnership between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. A big congratulations to all of the winners who showcased their passion for science and their commitment towards making our planet a better place!
